Market Lavington Museum

A Potter in the Past

Market Lavington History Walk

On Sunday 11th July our curator and archivist are leading a history walk around Market Lavington.

This walk will feature some of the people who made a difference in the village in the past – amongst them Edwin Potter. The title for this event thus has a slight double meaning.

The event starts at 10.30 at Market Lavington Museum – the time chosen to allow churchgoers to take part if they wish to.

It will finish at The Green Dragon where sausage and chips will be provided for walkers. That’s a really kind offer – big thanks to our friends at The Dragon.

The two pound we charge will all go to museum funds and will help us to improve the quality of displays in the museum.

Amongst places we’ll look at is Broadwell. There are many stories about people to tell there for Broadwell was once the main water supply for the village and a real social vortex.

We look forward to meeting you for the walk on Sunday 11th July
