Market Lavington Museum

A wishbone clergyman

Over the centuries there has been a succession of clergymen in Market Lavington though, at present, the rector of the benefice of five local churches is female.

However, the clergyman featured in this blog was not connected with the local church.

It was made about a hundred years ago, in the 1920s, and is a wishbone dressed as a vicar! How many other museums have such an artefact in their collections?
