Market Lavington Museum

Colourful Covid 19 lockdown creations

During the 2020 coronavirus lockdown, many people were at home, unable to work or working from home and having a little more time, whilst  not needing to commute. In our Market Lavington Lockdown 2020 file, we have evidence of what some of our local residents were doing in the way of hobbies and community support.

One Market Lavington resident did some painting. This is her impression of Roundway Down, near Devizes in Wiltshire.

Several keen sewers in the village made items to protect people from spreading or catching the virus. We were required to wear face masks in locations such as shops, hospitals and museums. This colourful collection were made by a Market Lavington resident, who offered the masks to members of Lavington Community Choir.
