Market Lavington Museum

Market Lavington Electors – 1836/37

A brand new acquisition at Market Lavington Museum is a book containing the names of all the electors of North Wiltshire along with their qualification to vote. The book runs to some 158 pages each with about 36 electors listed. Whilst it only lists the men of property, we are particularly pleased to have this at the museum for the 1841 census has not survived for Market Lavington and Easterton.

The front cover of the book is missing, so it starts with a somewhat damp-stained title page.

These are the listed electors for Market Lavington. All were property owners. Blog constraints make it impossible to show all of the information.
