Recipes using bread

We have previously seen the 120 ways of using bread book, which was given to the Reynolds family at Clyffe Hall by one of the Easterton bakers, Percy Bullock. Today, we will share a few of pages from this book, which dates from the 1930s and is now in our Market Lavington Musuem collection.

This is the back cover of the booklet.

The book contains recipes for savoury dishes and sweet ones.

Stewart and Barbara Reynolds were at Clyffe Hall in Market Lavington from 1938 and ran it as an hotel after World War II. We do not know which of the many recipes in their books were cooked there and whether they were served to the paying guests.
