Market Lavington Museum

The Buffaloes on display

At the time of writing, we are commemorating the 75 year reign of Queen Elizabeth II. In our blog about an RAOB medal, we see a medal produced for a royal silver jubilee in 1935. We have also featured the Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes before, with pictures of another medal. Market Lavington’s Kings Arms pub hosted the Enterprise Lodge of this society and we have many artefacts relating to its members.

Fortunately we had our New display drawers installed in 2016, which provide an ideal viewing place for small artefacts which need protection under glass.

So, when the museum is ready to reopen in a few months’ time, please pay a visit and remember to pull open all those drawers to find the treasures displayed inside.
