Market Lavington Museum

The Robber Baron of Bedford Castle

We have already met William Moore, first rate scholar, who was A Resident of New Farm on Salisbury Plain. We know that, as a 15 year old, he attended Market Lavington Evening School and was awarded a prize in 1906.

Miss M Welch, the great aunt of our museum founder, Peggy Gye, presented him with a book – The Robber Baron of Bedford Castle.

It is over 200 pages long and contains eight coloured illustrations.
