A family home
Market Lavington Museum’s building is a house built in 1846 and we are lucky to have its kitchen, complete with range, in which to display our many reminders of domestic life before the era of modern conveniences. Our treasured kitchen artefacts range from large equipment like the mangle in our washday display to small tools such as this Edwardian pastry cutter/crimper.

The museum survives thanks to the kind donations from visitors. You can make a donation during your visit or donate online at any time. It’s not just money we need, there are also lots of opportunities to donate your time as a volunteer.
